D&H Contractors builds and renovates homes across Los Angeles. Founded by Chris Doria—who spent decades constructing skyscrapers and tunnels in New York before turning his attention to the most important structure of all: the place you come home to.
We bring the precision of large-scale construction to the intimacy of a home renovation.

Meet Chris
With over 30 years of construction experience, Chris Doria brings a unique perspective to residential contracting. His journey began with some of the most challenging projects in the country—building high-rise apartment buildings that define New York City’s skyline and constructing underground tunnels for both NYC & Los Angeles’s expanding metro system.
In 2020, Chris founded D&H Contractors with a new vision: to shift from mega-projects to focus on individual clients. This transition wasn’t just a change in scale—it was a transformation in purpose. Chris discovered that his true passion lies in the intimate process of helping homeowners, designers, and developers create their perfect spaces.
Today, D&H Contractors is built on Chris’s extensive experience and a commitment to close collaboration and personalized service. Chris personally walks clients through every step of the building process, ensuring that each project receives the attention and expertise it deserves.
“There’s almost nothing you can do in home construction that we didn’t tackle with D&H Contractors. At every step, they were communicative, flexible, imaginative, and capable. Chris was always able to present us with options and clarify the pros and cons of each. D&H Contractors were true partners in building our house. It’s worth saying that in home construction, it helps to like the people you’re working with. Chris and his team are the kind of folks you hope for.”
